Print the day
The short answer
Don't say "I will study on my phone tonight." Say "I will print the day." nicheAce now prints the whole learning day on sheets. You write by hand, you scan the sheet inside the app, and the day counts exactly like a day on the screen. Screen off when you want it: by ear or on paper.
The whole day on paper
The whole learning day, printed out on sheets: the vocabulary, the gap fill, the reading questions, the scenario. The answers sit behind a fold line or on the next page.
You print it, you write by hand, then you scan the sheet inside the app. A scanned day counts exactly like a day on the screen.
What the first version assumed
The first version assumed everything happens in the app. My own notes never did.
When I prepare for a meeting, I write the words down by hand, and that is when they stick.
Paper mode is the app now
Generate the day, print it, write it down, scan it.
It is the second half of one sentence: screen off when you want it, by ear or on paper.
Before: the phone on the train. After: a sheet, a pen, and the phone face down.
Why writing by hand works
Writing by hand slows you down to the word. On the train, at the desk, in a class, with nothing buzzing.
Typing is fast and gone. A sentence you wrote out stays.
And when you would rather listen, the other route is there: by ear or on paper. Both routes, one day.
The app's job
The app's job is a meeting, not your screen time.
